Key responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with developments in 3GPP NTN RAN specifications, providing detailed reports and updates to internal teams.
- Collaborate on defining and proposing contributions that align with the company’s services and technical roadmap.
- Develop features supporting chipset and device certification to protect the network and enable enhanced services.
- Work with external partners to ensure alignment with technical requirements and 3GPP NTN standards.
- Analyze network performance, benchmark under various conditions, and propose solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and reduce latency.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to test plans, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to expanding the company’s IP portfolio with innovative ideas.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technical analysis for wireless technology solutions.
What we are looking for
- Master’s or PhD in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A total of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a wireless research or systems engineering role focused on wireless RAN standards.
- Strong knowledge of wireless communication standards, particularly 3GPP technologies like NB-IoT, 5G, and LTE.
- Experience in protocol development and standardization processes, with prior contributions to 3GPP a plus.
- Familiarity with satellite network technologies is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Proven ability to conduct in-depth research and develop effective solutions.
- Strong debugging skills and experience using relevant tools.
- Programming proficiency in Python or Matlab.
- Experience in fast-paced, growing startup environments is preferred.
- Strong collaborative and leadership abilities, with a talent for working with diverse teams.
